SPHERE-SFC-Meteo: Downscaled seasonal forecasts at 1 km over the Po river basin
General Description
The SPHERE-SFC-Meteo dataset consists of high-resolution retrospective seasonal forecasts of minimum, maximum and mean daily 2m air temperature and daily total precipitation over the Po river basin (Italy). The dataset has been produced through statistical and stochastic downscaling of Copernicus Seasonal Forecast Systems outputs. SPHERE-MeteoSFC dataset covers the hindcast period 1993-2016 for two starting dates, November 1st and May 1st, with lead time up to 6 months.
Seasonal forecast systems
This dataset includes downscaled seasonal forecasts derived from the outputs of selected Copernicus seasonal forecast systems, namely ECMWFS51, CMCCS35 and DWDS21.
